Wine Windows

A LITTLE FLORENTINE HISTORY, BEST FOUND WHILE WANDERING.

Florence’s wine windows are small arched openings built into the walls of historic palaces, once used by families to sell wine directly from their cellars.

Today, a handful are active again, making them part history, part scavenger hunt, and part perfect excuse to wander down one more street. We pulled together a few to look for while you’re exploring the city.
